and stopping somewhere in North Carolina. In between I drove through
Georgia and South Carolina. Hopefully I'll get a chance to post up the
photos from last nights Rays game and from the drive today soon. Might
be a couple of days though.
In my infinite wisdom while planning this trip I cpletely neglected to
review the Baltimore Orioles schedule. Turns out they're playing the
Royals tomorrow. So, first thing in the morning I'll make the drive to
Baltimore, catch the game, then head to New York for Saturdays game.
Finally I'll follow it up with a Red Sox game on Sunsay for three
games in three days.
The game last night was great, the rays ended up winning 10-9 in the
bottom of the 9th inning on a double to the gap by Burrell. At least I
think it was Burrell...no wait, it was some other guy with a B name. I
remember that they had a picture on the screen of his head on
godzillas body after his hit.
I ended up sitting next to Sal (? My memory sucks) and his dad, a
couple of transplants from Philly. We chatted through most of the
game, trading stories and talking sports and
music in general. It's a good thing I had company because with all the
hits and pitching changes, the game ended up lasting 4.5 hours. Yeah,
it was exciting but long. At one point I wandered over to the stingray
tank they keep in the outfield, but the line was pretty long, too long
to justify waiting and missing a bunch of the game.
Time to get some rest. It's almost eleven here and I'm hoping to get
up early to run. Toodles!
